Reflecting on my life, I think I am plagued to always be a nostalgic soul :') This nostalgia has always been what tied me to this specific medium of art! Outside of having an artistic eye and wanting to simply capture beauty- I want to capture a moment or a feeling. Gifting that nostalgia and assisting in creating that beautiful memory is what drives my passion for photography.
Hiyaa! My name is Sami Mendes and I am based in the valley of Arizona, US- I moved originally on my own from the burbs of Chicago in 2020. Since I was a child, I have always migrated towards artistic hobbies and curated a passion for the great outdoors- so often these go hand in hand for me. My fixation on photography began in high school and followed through college courses as I experimented with digital and film photography capturing nature, the city, and the people I loved... always gushing over the results and wanting to evolve more. Flash to today where this passion for photography follows me.

Other facts about me: I earned my YTT 200 Hr for Yoga in 2024 and I have a rabbit named Sage. Sometimes I do art markets and am hooked on gaining hobbies... like it's excessive.
